My experience managing children with Down syndrome as a dentist at the FCSD medical center, combined with my doctoral research at UIC, has resulted in this article: "Comparative Study of Dental Anomalies Using Panoramic Radiographs of Patients With and Without Down Syndrome." This article highlights that children with Down syndrome present more anomalies in the number, shape, size, and position of their teeth. This underscores the need for regular monitoring of their dental health to prevent more serious problems.
