Halitosis or bad breath: Why?

HALITOSIS OR BAD BREATH

It is a very common problem and in most cases it is of oral origin

It has an impact on the social environment of the person who suffers from it.

Gases such as hydrogen sulfide, methyl mercaptan, and organic acids are formed due to the metabolic breakdown of bacteria present in saliva, gums, tongue, and other areas of the mouth.

How to avoid it?

1.- a good daily oral hygieneDaily brushing of teeth three times a day, including tongue cleaning

2.- a oral cleaning once or twice a year

3. Use oral hygiene supplements such as interdental brush, dental floss and specific mouthwash For bacteria control. Not just any rinse will do! Many mask the bad odor but nothing more.

4.-check-up by your dentist to diagnose any associated oral pathology such as periodontitis
