ORAL HEALTH RELATED TO CARDIOVASCULAR HEALTH

It's time to raise awareness about the importance of maintaining good oral health habits.

There is scientific evidence of the link between periodontal disease (disease of the supporting tissues of the tooth) or "pyorrhea" and cardiovascular disease.

Periodontal disease or "pyorrhea" is a local oral infection and as such can promote chronic inflammatory processes that would directly affect the origin of atherosclerosis and thus become a risk factor for cardiovascular disease.
